Roger is an American businessman, investor, and technologist specializing in mobile technology. He has spent his career in the technology, media, and telecom (TMT) sector, and is best known for his role in the mobile computing revolution from 1990 to 2020. He was part of the founding management teams for companies now known as T-Mobile, Nextel, Dialpad, ORCA, and SingTel Digital Life.

Roger has designed, developed, and deployed innovations in every aspect of mobile computing from Radio Frequency (RF) Engineering to mobile phone design, mobile payments, and mobile entertainment apps. These include:

  1. The development and design of iDEN, once the global standard for digital dispatch and mobile Internet access.

The technical design and launch of the GSM International Consortium under George Schmitt, which enabled the use of a single phone and number to connect seamless voice, text, and internet traffic worldwide.
